I belong to Jesus; His love defines me.

Everything else is in the poems, but His hand is on all of it.

No low has ever been too low for Him to hold me; He was there, even when I didn’t perceive Him, even when I hated Him. He’s redeemed my deepest moments of pain, and begun to heal my heart.

What you’ll read here is how it felt in the canyons, and how it felt on the heights, but He’s been with me the whole time.

I hope you see glimpses of His heart here.

He is in the deepest sorrow:

“Why, my soul, are you so dejected?
Why are you in such turmoil?
Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him,
my Savior and my God.
I am deeply depressed;
therefore I remember You...Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;
all Your breakers and Your billows have swept over me.

The Lord will send His faithful love by day;
His song will be with me in the night—
a prayer to the God of my life.

Why, my soul, are you so dejected?
Why are you in such turmoil?
Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him,
my Savior and my God.”

-Psalm 42:5-8, 11

And!!!

He is the Author of the brightest joys:

“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” - Psalm 16:11

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, Who does not change like shifting shadows.” - James 1:17
